In this video I want to go into what attributes in a rather big watch will make it fit a smaller wrist and also what to avoid. Of course case diameter and lug to lug distance are quite important in selecting the right watch for your wrist size, but these only give a rough estimate on what to look for. Some characteristics, like the shape and length of the lugs, the overall shape of the case and the location of the spring bars on the lugs are sometimes more important for deciding whether a watch fits your wrists well or not. For instance long lugs on a small diameter case can make a watch look big or drawn out. A flat crystal on a rather flat watch will make it look wider and bigger. Spring bars mounted high on the lugs make a watch look wider. A thick case with sleek curvy surfaces and slopes can make a watch look smaller. In this video examples will be presented by comparing four different watches: Seiko SKX013, Addiesdive MY-H2, Addiesdive MY-H9, Orient 'Kamasu'.
