Empower YOU! Get the energy moving and flowing like an illuminated river through you and around you.

To get the most out of this, be alone, in solitude, so you can let this move you. You will start to feel the need to sway to the rhythms of the moving energy. Too, I suggest closing your eyes, to remove external stimuli and let yourself synchronize more fully with the vibes of this piece. Let it happen…

Heavily drums/percussion driven, for power, hence the Taos Thunder. I am doing a series of these, drum/percussion driven pieces for different strengths we need to attain within each. Eventually there will be a full album of these. All created for strengthening ourselves to face whatever we must face on any given day.

Let it move you, follow its lead. Sit in Lotus and sway and/or dance, stand and dance or sway, whatever works best for you. Hold your hands above your head and feel the energy moving in and out of your being, encircling you, engulfing you, embracing you.

In 12 minutes, you are prepared for anything you need strength for. Do this as often as you need it.

Recently I asked you all, my friends, for things you would like me to bring to the channel in a community post. It was amazing, I got so many great ideas and made a huge list. And I have started to trickle them out. But one of you made a few suggestions and was always careful to include “drums/percussion more often” in your posts. That has been on my mind since. Why not an entire collection, an album, of powerful drum pieces for strength, in mind, body and soul. Thunder came to my mind, hence Taos Thunder. This is my first release from that collection. I think it would be fun to release one from this album each Wednesday, sort of a midweek pick-me-up… as the album comes together.

Side note here: I have experienced this many times while putting it together, or should I say, bringing it forth, and it has had a very powerful effect on me and my energy flow.

There is something deeply primal and electrifying about the ancient call of drums. When those resonant skins begin to pulse, it’s as if the heartbeat of the earth itself awakens beneath your feet. The vibrations travel up through your bones, stirring dormant power within, dissolving boundaries between body and spirit. Each beat is a summons, an invitation to remember the strength that already lives inside you - the wild, the wise, the courageous parts that modern life sometimes dulls.

Drums have spoken to humanity across millennia, calling warriors to readiness, communities to celebration, and seekers to inner journeys. Their thunderous voices can shake off stagnation, banish doubt, and usher in waves of bold, flowing energy. When you surrender to their rhythm—letting your muscles loosen, your breath deepen, your mind grow quiet—energy flows in both rivulets and torrents, cleansing and fortifying you.

To dance to the drum is to claim your space in the world, rooting down into the earth while reaching for the sky. In those moments, you become both ancient and timeless, a vessel for the kind of empowerment that is as fierce as it is freeing. The drumbeat is an ancient magic, awakening your own.
