After this lesson, you should know the common terms and context of capability indices. And you should also know the different types of capability indices like Cm, Cmk, Cp, Cpk, what they represent and what they are a measure of.
Potential Process Capability Index: Cp.
Critical Process Capability Index: Cmk, Cpk.

Furthermore, you should be able to use a capability index number to assess the extent to which a process or machine is suitable for producing low-defect products.
