Like everyone else, I am constantly refining how I carry my fishing gear in order to be as effective on the water as possible. I used to go pretty light but, would limit how I would dress for weather because I could not sore my jacket when hiking. Having a small backpack has proven to be a great addition to my setup. The Sitka Apex Pack is a streamlined backpack that fits enough gear for a daytrip of fishing. It fits tight to my body and allows for easy moving through thick brushy areas common to where I live.

I learned the hard way by cheaping out on waders. I really liked my prior waders but, the fit was restrictive and limited my ability to climb up steep hills and maneuver over fallen trees and such. The Simms G3 have been great choice for me. I am 6ft tall with a 35" inseam and the LL size (Large Long) fit great. The legs have a great fit and allow my leg to lift easily without binding or fighting material. They are durable and have reinforced lower legs and seat area.

The Handy Pak Net has been awesome. It is an easily deployable net that folds into a small package. The net also came with a holster that attaches to a belt or waistpack to make sure the net is always at the ready.

A duel-sided tackle box is a great way to stay organized and know exactly where your favorite lures are.
