Viana do Castelo is a beautiful city in the North Region of Portugal. The city has a population of 90,000. The region of Viana do Castelo including the places Caminha, Ponte de Lima, Seixas has 150,000 inhabitants. The mountain of Viana do Castelo, Mount Santa Luzia was already inhabited in Paleolithic times and during the Iron Age as excavations of the Castro culture suggests. On top of the mountain lies the impressive Santa Luzia Church and the Pousada Hotel.
