A full walkthrough of a new Avanti West Coast Hitachi class 805 Evero (5 carriage) train.
This video is a full walkthrough starting in Standard class and working through the train to end in first class through all 5 carriages.

The formation of the new Avanti class 805 trains is A, B, C, D, J with double formations formed of 2 trains in 10 carriage formations having the additional carriages of L, M, N, P, K with J and K being first class to align with the first class lettering on the Avanti class 390 Pendolino trains. There is a shop located in carriage B/M.

The interior of the Avanti class 805 will be similar to the class 807 and the standard class seating is the same desgin as on the refurbished Pendolino trains. First class seats are of a different design to those on the class 390. Standard class is in a 2+2 layout with both tables and airline seating and first class is in 2+1 layout with all seats having a table.

Once fully in services the class 805 will operate on the North Wales/Wrexham/Chester to London Euston and Birmingham New Street via Crewe services as these will be the only Avanti bi mode/diseel trains. They will operate limited services to Birmingham and the West Midlands but as the Avanti Shrewsbury service no longer operates will not usually be operating on this route. The 805 may also cover for class 807 when they enter service on some Liverpool and Blackpool North services if required.

The class 805 are entering service in 2024 and are the main replacement for the class 221 Super Voyagers which are moving to other operators.

Note that this video was filmed in June 2024 at Birmingham New Street station as it was waiting to form a Holyhead service which was terminated short at Crewe on this day.
