Part Two - Freightliner owned 90021 and 90042 arrive at Stafford Station p7 as part of testing for both locos for very different reasons.

90021, having recently arrived along with 90039 from DB Cargo. The latter rebranded and now back in traffic, seen below, outbon test to Stafford a few weeks ago alongside 90013:

90021 was slightly further away on the overhaul than 90039 as the pleasant driver said at the time - but its time has come today.

90021 was joined by another Skoda, in the form of 90042, which itself had been having some teething issues recently, I was told, regarding it's braking system.

A Maahhhhhoooossivvvee thank you goes to fellow Rail enthusiast, Skoda chaser, and Youtuber Mark ‎⁨@sparkynl1271⁩  for giving me the heads up about this eagerly anticipated sighting of Donald Malcolm, 90021, back out in tweaked Freightliner guise, running freely for the first time since being stood down by former owner DB Cargo in 2022.

Thank you to Freightliner for retaining the stunning Malcolm 100 livery, following suit from the Backbone livery seen on 90039.

I imagine those people at MALCOLM will also be looking forward to seeing 90021 back out working with their stunning livery being the talking point of those in Rail terminals across the UK regardless of whether 90021 is hauling blue boxes or liner bound boxes.
