Inside the World and Mentality of Professional Freeskier Chris Davenport | Season Pass

Описание к видео Inside the World and Mentality of Professional Freeskier Chris Davenport | Season Pass

Chris Davenport boasts a lengthy list of accomplishments in the mountains. Chris was always drawn to skiing. He competed, at the highest level of NCAA competition, as downhill racer for the University of Colorado. His skills and nerve would serve him well as he moved from racing to the “big-mountain competition” scene. In 1996, he surprised the freeskiing world by winning the World Extreme Skiing Championships in Alaska. Over the next ten plus years, Chris would become a fixture on the podium, and one of the most recognized freeskiers on the planet.
Chris is also a respected ski mountaineer. He’s conquered Everest, climbed and skied all of Colorado’s 14,000-ft mountains, and survived in some of the most treacherous conditions on earth; including a slab avalanche slide on the Eiger.
In this episode of “Season Pass the One”, Chris takes us deeper into his world, discussing the “one” characteristic that separates him from so many other talented skiers - mental focus. Colorado’s formidable San Juan Mountains, just outside of Telluride, are the backdrop for this unique look into the mind of one of freeskiing’s best.
