Ask an Ex Episode #41
Meet CBQ Program member Teri Edge from West Virginia, US! Teri is such an inspiration, and it's always a pleasure and a joy to talk with her.
In this episode, Teri shares how she achieved true food freedom and how that was both similar to and different from other things she's tried in the past, such as Weight Watchers, calorie restriction, and GLP-1 injections like Mounjaro.
Teri is someone who could lose weight whenever she put her mind to it. But it was hard, required willpower, and the moment she stopped what she was doing, the weight came back.
After quitting smoking on September 19, 2021, with the CBQ Quit Smoking Program, Teri decided to join the CBQ Food Freedom Program to try a new approach to weight loss: losing it naturally without willpower, but by changing her relationship with food. And she did!
Tune in to discover:
What food freedom truly means to Teri
The difference between Mounjaro, Ozempic, and Food Freedom
How holidays that revolved around food have changed and become more enjoyable
How her food preferences changed
How she went from using food to fill the void to enjoying food
How the changes she made affected her family
What they don’t teach about nutrition in school but should
How her knee pain and inflammation went down
How her health and life changed
Her practical advice for those struggling to lose weight and keep it off
If you've been feeling stuck in a bad relationship with food, then this episode is a must-watch!
