Community Moment: What is Love. Expressions of Love, Care and Concern by Mike Nelson
Music : Cory Wilson Duo
Main Talk Description:

What adults do for children today is shaping how humanity will ultimately fare. People who care about truth, justice, equity, and science are facing off against those who fight to uphold systemic oppression and inequity. The outcomes of this face-off will determine the well-being of generations. How can parents and other adults leverage information and resources to oppose bigotry and do the best for kids? At this gathering, Kavin Senapathy will discuss their new book, The Progressive Parent: Harnessing the Power of Science and Social Justice to Raise Awesome Kids. From protecting babies and children from harmful chemical exposures to race and racism to the truth about the prismatic nature of gender, sex, and sexuality, they will shed light on how to level up as parents and other adults who care about children's well-being.
