Gulmarg for Foreign Skiers - Detailed Travel Guide (inc avalanche, gondola & general safety)

If you are thinking of travelling to Gulmarg, Kashmir to ski or snowboard powder then this video should cover everything you need to know thats difficult to find answers to elsewhere. Specifically different aspects of safety: avalanche, lifts/ gondola, guiding, rescue, insurance and terrorism.

I forgot to mention at the end about the checkpoints on the way to the airport. When you leave the airport the checkpoints are minimal and fairly quick, however on the way

Finally: if you are thinking about it.. DO IT.

Season is January, February, March but I recommend late Jan/ early Feb for at least 2 weeks.
