EGF Doller write up Break the fast London Pancake day :

Pancake day is a day I usually enjoy due to my sweet tooth, it was amazing to find out the origins of this special day which we were originally put together in preparation for lent. On this particular day, we traveled to southeast London to “Break The fast London'' which always show their attractive breakfast meals on Instagram, my box contained vegan sausages, pancake, Fruit ( strawberry, kiwi, raspberry, berry, sliced pineapple), plantain, beans, hash browns, tomatoes, pomegranate, mushrooms spinach, cooked tomatoes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this well put together platter for a breakfast meal, I would have liked more syrup for my pancake and powdered sugar, as I stated in the episode, the pancake was made basic so all pallets could accept it and enjoy it. The plantain and beans were cooked with care, the Plantain picked at the correct ripe level for me and cooked at the right temperature for that golden finish, in Season 1 Ep 9 with Igtv we made the differentiation between beans on the hob and beans heated from the microwave, these beans from break the fast London was well seasoned and tasted like they were cooked on the hob.

The food was delicious and all the combining ingredients worked exceptionally well to complete a remarkable breakfast platter.

Pancake Day takes me back to a time when my mum worked in Liverpool street. There a Marks and Spencers that sold toffee pancakes, at the time my palate was young so the toffee taste was too harsh. However, at the present moment, I think that actual pancakes would be luxuries. It's funny how our taste buds change with age.

Customer Service:

The customer service was good, the EGF team was advised a time, and Break The Fast London delivered to that time. My rating for Break the fast London is 7.5. The reason why Break the fast London customer service rating didn't get a 10 was that we waited a while and the order. The food didn't come out straight away. However, because I was accompanied by friends, the time may have felt shorter than it actually was.

Food:

The Halal option was the food of choice which contained Pancakes, fruits, turkey rusher, and turkey sausages. On average everything was rated between a 6-8. The fruit was freshly cut, looked reap, healthy and bright.

Taste

The food taste was really nice, everything was served hot so they get an extra brownie point for that.

General thoughts:

I would attend this establishment again and I would like to try one of their different options. The company I was with all rated their food similar to myself, the only criticism was that the turkey sausage was not cooked to preference. My preference is that the turkey sausage is cooked with a crispy surface and soft and tender feel inside, however not too dry. I would have liked the option of more syrup as the pancakes were dry without the syrup. Also, the source provided only covered the first two pancakes.
