20 types of coffee in the world
Coffee types explained.
Types of coffee.
Coffee name list.
▪️1.Cappuccino is a latte made with
more foam than steamed milk,
often with a sprinkle of cocoa powder
or cinnamon on top. Sometimes you
can find variations that use cream instead
of milk or ones that throw in flavor shot, as well.
▪️2. Espresso is a pressure brewing method where
hot water forces through finely-ground coffee.
Espresso has a strong, concentrated taste.
There are different kinds of espresso shots
including ristretto, lungo, and doppio.
▪️3.Latte. As the most popular coffee drink out
there, the latte is comprised of a shot of espresso
and steamed milk with just a touch of foam.
▪️4.Americano is a hot coffee drink made with espresso
and hot water. The Americano originated during
World War 2, where American soldiers added hot
water to espresso to help extend their coffee rations.
▪️5.Mocha consists in a shot of espresso mixed
with a spoon of chocolate powder, on top
you have to add steamed milk and 2-3 cm of
foam, finally some sprinkles of chocolate powder.
▪️6.Combine three parts foam with one part espresso,
and you're holding a macchiato. It's not as creamy
and smooth as a cappuccino, but it's not as
strong as a straight shot of espresso either.
▪️7.The flat white is a double shot of espresso with
steamed milk. Australia imported this espresso-based
drink to American coffee houses, and it's been a hit
with the sippers who like the richness of
cappuccino but not the fancy foam.
▪️8.Ristretto is an espresso shot. It uses less hot water
which creates a sweeter flavor compared to the bitter
taste of a traditional shot of espresso or a doppio.
▪️9.Affogatos aren’t really a coffee, as they’re a shot of
espresso poured over a dessert, usually ice cream.
That doesn’t make them any less delicious, though.
▪️10.Iced coffee is a trendy summertime drink and is quite
refreshing to have during summers. You can choose to
make iced coffee with justice or with water. It
can be served with syrups and sweeteners with lots of ice!
▪️11.The trendiest of the iced coffee bunch, cold brew
coffees are made by steeping coffee beans from
anywhere between 6-36 hours, depending on how
strong you would like your cold brew. Once the
beans are done steeping, add cold milk or cream.
▪️12.A classic, cozy dessert drink made by mixing hot
black coffee with Irish whiskey and Baileys Irish
Cream. For a more decadent drink, top with
whipped cream and add flavored syrups.
▪️13. Cortado is made by pulling a single shot of espresso
in a small glass then adding an equal amount of
steamed milk, with no foam. This coffee drink has a
strong taste that is well-balanced by the milk.
▪️14.A Doppio is a double shot of espresso with no
added hot water or milk. This results in 60 ml
of coffee. Doppio means 'double' in Italian.
▪️15.Arabica is the most popular type of coffee, hands
down. Depending on who you ask, many coffee
enthusiasts prefer using Arabica beans due to its
taste. Typically used for black coffee, Arabica beans
have a sweeter, more complex flavor
that you can drink straight.
▪️16.Robusta beans are typically cheaper to produce
because the Robusta plant is easier to grow. They
have a higher caffeine content and taste more bitter
than Arabica beans. These beans are often used to
make instant coffee and espresso blends.
▪️17.Turkish coffee is made by boiling water, sugar,
finely-ground coffee, and cardamom. This brewing
method goes back centuries, and it’s simple, fast,
and intensely flavorful. Your spiced coffee awaits!
▪️18.Like a traditional caffè latte, but with a thicker layer
of foam. Often made by pouring an espresso last
into the milk (drink size about 300 ml).
Served in a latte glass.
▪️19.If you like your coffee with more coffee, this is
the type of coffee drink you need. Named for its
ability to give your system a jump start, this is a
full cup of coffee with an espresso shot stirred in.
▪️20.Dalgona coffee is a beverage made by whipping
equal parts instant coffee powder, sugar, and
hot water until it becomes creamy and then adding
it to cold or hot milk. Occasionally, it is topped with
coffee powder, cocoa, crumbled biscuits, or honey.
