Like many people, I've always wanted to skydive. Over time, though, I grew more and more scared of pursuing this activity and considered crossing it off of my bucket list because I was too scared to do it, rather than cross it off because I accomplished it.

Glad to say that I faced my fear and finally took the plunge! I hope that this video motivates you, and if you're looking to make your first jump, I hope you find this video helpful.

UPDATE TO TIP ("Consider wearing a helmet."): So, I looked into it, and contrary to my tip in the video, you SHOULD NOT wear a hard helmet worn if you're a tandem student/jumper, as it could be hazardous to the instructor. "A rigid helmet—should be worn on all skydives (tandem students may wear soft helmets) should be lightweight and not restrict vision or hearing" (Source: https://uspa.org/SIM/5#3K). As always, safety comes way, wayyy before aesthetics (lol ;D. The goggle/lax skin/struggling to breathe hilarity makes the experience way more memorable, anyway :) ), and I apologize for the misinformation, and that information has since been removed from my video and my blog post.
