Welcome to Part 1/6 of my 1940's Disney song project, where I try to reimagine modern Disney films if they were made in the 1940's, write original songs for them, and have those songs performed by a toaster. "Zootopia" is the first on the list, replacing that high-speed rail into the city with a steam engine. I like to imagine this song playing as the movie opens over the RKO Pictures logo.

The background for my song project started at a bus stop, where my kids asked me to sing them the theme song for "Zootopia". I'm no Shakira, so I got weird and started singing about a "Zoo-Zoo Choo-Choo" in the style of Bing Crosby instead, much to my kids' annoyance. That's the seed of where this whole thing got started.

I was always a little fascinated with Disney's wartime movies (1942-1949), and I've recently become interested in writing lyrics ever since writing a couple songs for my Sierra videos, so I decided to cherry-pick six recent Disney films for this project (all from the "Frozen" era**, 2010-2021) to practice my songwriting.

** No, I'm not calling it the "Revival Era". I'll call it the Frozen Era, Expansion Era, even Disney's Digital Ice Age, but an Era where they shut down their 2D division is not a "Revival". Don't fight me on that.
