Blacking Out Blackmail - Trails Through Daybreak - Let's Play Part 21 - Chapter 2

Our playthrough of Trails Through Daybreak nightmare difficulty continues! That's right ladies and gentlemen our journey through the Legend Of Heroes Trails Through Daybreak is here for the foreseeable future, as we trek across the Calvardian Empire in a completely new saga in the long running Kiseki series. So buckle up for a JRPG marathon of epic proportions filled with twists and turns, memorable heroes and villains as well as one of the best ost in gaming!

Well last episode was incredibly relaxing wasn't it and hopefully not too long as rounds parts go ey? We got to see one of the most stunning city scapes in Kiseki history in the Tyrell District, which was flled with cafes bookshops and even a state of the art cinema! By every passing day the Republic of Calvard makes Erebonis look more and more old fashioned seriously, they even have giant TV screens and a district wide announcer showing us ads! You don't get more modern that ads in your face everywhere right ladies and gentlemen? Anyway after being given a job by Mr Kincaid to help the CID discredit the Bracer Guild (Bracer Guild always getting shafted smh), we should Feri the nearby cinema Esprit which is was blown away by as well as puzzled as to what exactly a "film" is. After kinda explaining it mum and dad Van Arkride and Agnes Claudel agree to take her to see the new film out after the day is done! So look forward to that everyone!

Anyway after completing another set of rounds we are now able to start the nearby 4SPG side quest, known as "Blacking Out Blackmail" In which we are asked by a man called Jess to retrieve an item for him. Upon meeting up with Jess we are quickly told that Giacomo Conte (the man who died in episode 2), had a little black book filled with stories and secrets of everyday citizens that he would use to get his way. Jess was no exception to this and even after hearing of Giacomo's shock death, he's still terrified of the black book being found even if it's by the police. Whatever is in there is enough to cause Jess to go into hiding of soughts and force him to hire a Spriggan, namely Van Arkride Solutions (represent).

However in true Giacomo fashion he wouldn't keep something this important on his person or indeed in the open, so there is still a very good chance it hasn't been found yet during the Calvard police investigation. But that also means no one has any leads on it's whereabouts which leaves us no choice, but to return to Giacomo's various hideouts across the city in the hope of finding any clues. Since we are so amazing and better at being detectives than the detectives, we come across a taco menu on the wall which houses a code! There's no doubt in our mind that this is the key to finding Giacomo's most prized possession.

Now your probably wondering what the thumbnail is all about and what it could possibly mean for a simple 4SPG side quest right? Well this code that we need to decipher turns out to be far harder than i could have imagined, so sit back and watch a very small brained man go slowly insane. As he attempts to spot the meaning hidden inside a taco menu...

So without further ado it's time to put on my Trails Through Daybreak Let's Play hat this time and put away the Trails Into Reverie one! Let's get on with yet another epic Kiseki saga!
