Agean R & Flat R low noise cymbals sound comparison with drum-tec Jam NG e-drums

Agean low noise cymbals are a great sounding choice for any low volume or hybrid e/a drum kit setup. For this demo, we've set up the Agean R series and the more recent Flat R series "side by side" for a quick sound comparison demo.

The Flat R series cymbals have no cup as their name indicates, soundwise they have a little less "body", less overtones and a shorter sustain than the regular R series, which makes them even more silent in practice. They are handmade in Turkey from B20 Bronze just like the R series.

The cymbals were mic'ed up with a pair of studio standard overhead microphones & recorded with a Roland audio interface into Logic Pro Audio without any further mixing/editing.
