The Bastei is the most famous rock formation in Saxon Switzerland, rising 194 meters above the Elbe River in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains of Germany, reaching a height of 305 meters above sea level.
The jagged rocks of the bastei were formed by water erosion over one million years ago. It was really an interesting place to visit specially those who loves nature, the amazing landscape view that this place offers. Perfect to go in Autumn and Summer. Worth visiting during the sunrise and sunset for even greater pics.
