How Toyota engine control works Part 2 : Cam, Crank, Mass air flow sensors

Описание к видео How Toyota engine control works Part 2 : Cam, Crank, Mass air flow sensors

A Toyota master diagnostic technician explains how toyota engine control works including all the various engine comptuers and sensors. Covering Camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor and Mass air flow.

In this new series on my channel I will take a monumental task of explaining the overly complicated engine computer control for OBD2 emission standard work. I will follow my channel's theme of simple but complicated to make this information easy to follow and understand for Toyota owners interested.

In part two of this series I will cover how a modern OBD2 engine starts, It needs to see the signals from the Camshaft position sensor and the Crankshaft position sensor. I will share designs of the sensors, how they work and some diagnosis tips. Including the misdiagnosed p0335 due to a low battery voltage.

I will cover Mass Air flow sensor or meter. How it works and some diagnosis tips. Also I will cover what cleaning the mass air flow does.
