Natalie Warnert: Breaking down silos to team cross functionality

Описание к видео Natalie Warnert: Breaking down silos to team cross functionality

How do we remake our organizational structures to help our teams work more cross functionally?

Software development is a polarized industry - from the division between product and technology to the division of team roles between developers and testers. We end up reinforcing silos rather than fixing systemic problems, and assigning blame rather than making a better product. Agile was supposed to fix this; it hasn’t.

In this session, Natalie explores what this dysfunctionality does to team cross functionality. She discusses individual and team strategies to move toward being more cross functional and its effect on product development flow. She shares strategies Fortune 100 companies have taken to make teams more effective and efficient through focusing on cross functionality.

Participants will leave this session with a better understanding of their skills and improvement areas: individually, within their teams, and across their company silos. After all, teams and companies are only as good as the sum of their parts, and if those parts are dysfunctional, the whole system will fail to innovate and succeed together.
