According to people who delved into the data for this game, Rillaboom is the last remaining fully evolved non-IX starter available in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet to either not be featured in an "Unrivaled" Tera Raid Battle. That is, after this weekend and the following weekend, we will either see no more such raid events in a while, they will cycle back (Charizard was first), or there will be an update that adds more. As nothing's been announced yet, only time will tell. Me, I'd like to see the other two Johto starters, Meganium and Feraligatr.
Rillaboom is the final form of Grookey. Goh caught a Grookey in Pokémon Journeys, though he remained Grookey the entire time Goh hung out with Ash. Rillaboom would instead make its anime debut in Pokémon: Secrets of the Jungle as a background Pokémon in Milyfa Town. In the series itself, Leon uses Rillaboom, which can Gigantamax.
This Rillaboom...was difficult to figure out what to do with. It carries the Tera type of Normal, which doesn't sound like much at first glance, but this removes all of Rillaboom's weaknesses and replaces it with just Fighting, plus a Ghost immunity. Normal doesn't resist anything, but that isn't necessary in a 7-star Tera Raid Battle, where Rillaboom has 30 times as much HP than normal. It just means that any attempt to speed up the battle by using Fighting-type moves will only result in a clobbering via Aerial Ace. Rillaboom's other moves are Drum Beating, Body Slam, and Low Kick, making it very difficult to find a Pokémon that can resist all four while being bulky enough to contribute meaningfully to the Tera Raid Battle.
And a Pokémon I found that I felt could do the job is Overqwil, the "Qwilfish with very long spines" as mentioned in the storybook in Canalave Library in Pokémon Briliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. With a built-in Intimidate, Overqwil can pre-emptively cut Rillaboom down to size, with Chilling Water able to whittle down Rillaboom's physical Attack further. This Pokémon doesn't have any offensive type advantages over Normal Tera Rillaboom, but it does have a way to provide support to the ones who do:
Overqwil (Point Taken)
Level 100
Ability: Intimidate
Effort Points: 252 Defense, 252 HP, 6 Sp. Attack
Hold Item: Black Sludge
Nature: Calm (+Defense, - Sp. Defense)
Tera: Ghost
Moves: Taunt, Barb Barrage, Chilling Water, Acid Spray
Rillaboom is a physical attacker, and I've found, over all of these 7-star Tera Raid Battles, that the most surefire way to make them more manageable is to cut down their offensive stats as much as possible, and since they put up their barriers early on (Rillaboom will do so after 90% of its HP has been depleted), those stat reducing moves must also be attacks. Taunt is there to stop Growth and Bulk Up, Black Sludge works in conjunction with Grassy Terrain from Rillaboom's own Grassy Surge to heal, and Tera Ghost is to prevent at least one Body Slam or, more ideally, Boomburst, from occurring.
Like all other 7-star raids, RIllaboom follows a script. It will reset your Pokémon's stat boosts first, which very much hinders all of those Iron Hands people bring out, and it'll do so about 4 to 6 turns in. Rillaboom will then reset its own stat drops, which it'll do when its barrier is near depletion. That's why it's more effective to reduce Rillaboom's stats than to boost yours, hence Chilling Water and, if your teammates are using special attackers, Acid Spray. Barb Barrage is just there if there's nothing else that needs to be done, which didn't come up this time around. Rillaboom will use Boomburst on the 4th turn; I really needed to watch out for that, but the Tera type of Ghost would stop that for the rest of the raid (or until Overqwil is knocked out, at least).
I played Pokémon Legends: Arceus to evolve a Hisuian Qwilfish, as you can see, and I stumbled across an Alpha Qwilfish, so I caught it, raised it, and evolved it. Hence, it has the "Former Alpha" mark!
