A Small Ohio Excursion

To end my summer holidays, Anthony and I went on a little geological excursion to Bellefontaine, Ohio. I wanted to see Campbell Hill, the highest point in Ohio, and also try to find sites of the plateau ridge and border which is in the same region.

Where we live in Northwest Ohio, and much of north-Central Ohio, as well, is part of a large plateau.... in other words... relatively flat, but much of Ohio is hilly. In my years teaching 4th and 5th grade science, we talk about Ohio's geography and geology. I even teach about these places, but I have actually never been to them.

We did eventually find some sites and sights of the plateau ridge and we went to Campbell Hill. They were not as impressive on camera as live, but I thought I would share this little bit of Ohio with you all.
