This video takes you on the journey of one of the worst attics in Pittsburgh, PA that I have ever seen. There were so many problems with it, and the things that were wrong were demonstrably bad. We start off inspecting the uninsulated pull down attic ladder that allows summertime heat to radiate into the home below, and for heat to escape during the winter months. We then look at the attic floor and the fact that it is not air sealed. We then go on to inspect the water pipes that are left exposed in the attic, the roof ventilation that is improperly configured and unbalanced, the junky old bathroom fan that's exhausting directly into the attic, the poorly insulated duct system that is also insanely leaky, and lastly the huge lack of insulation on the attic floor.
