Hot Rods on the Tarmac at Lyon Air Museum (2022) - Drive-Ins and Leaving

Описание к видео Hot Rods on the Tarmac at Lyon Air Museum (2022) - Drive-Ins and Leaving

The Lyon Air Museum and Bobby Green of the Old Crow Speed Shop really knocked it out of the park with this gathering of traditional hot rods and early custom cars! To celebrate their special display of belly tank racers and WWII's influence on hot rodding, the organizers curated a special display of 1942 and older traditional pre-war and post-war hot rods and custom cars. The cars had the opportunity to park on the tarmac in front of the museum, which is on the west side of John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, California. This was definitely one of the best events I have ever attended, and it was a great opportunity to see a carefully curated, once in a lifetime gathering of early hot rods! The display of belly tanks, called "War Surplus on Wheels," runs until Labor Day 2022. This video shows almost all the cars driving onto the tarmac, the belly tanks on display, and many of the cars leaving the museum. Thanks to the Lyon Air Museum, Bobby Green, Ray Dunham, Stephen Harvey, and the other organizers for putting together an unforgettable event. And a very special thanks to Jose Leon (1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe at 7:40 and 12:42) for giving me a ride to the exit gate to capture a majority of the cars leaving!
