The topic of sex is already fairly taboo in our society, and in the space industry it’s something people try not to mention at all. Leading speakers from aerospace agencies and astronauts themselves prefer to stay silent when journalists ask direct questions, or they redirect the inquiry to their colleagues. It turns into a kind of “hot potato” game: whoever speaks up first, loses.
But this silence only fuels public curiosity and gives rise to endless rumors.
