John Carty is one of Irish music’s legendary fiddle and banjo players.
He has played and recorded with many great musicians including the innovative At The Racket band and the great Matt Molloy.

We used to have great sessions when John lived in London. It was a pleasure to play this tune with John as it has a connection for both of us to my late father Eamon Coyne, who John did a tour with, amongst others back in the early 1980’s. Farrell O’Gara reel was one of my dad’s favourites to play.
