Hurricane Room, King's Cross London

Описание к видео Hurricane Room, King's Cross London

Snooker Places hits the capital for the first time as we visit the former King’s Cross Snooker Club, which was established in 1982. It was transformed and revamped for the 21st century in 2009 and renamed as Hurricane Room.

It houses 9 American pool tables, 6 English pool tables and 10 snooker tables, the majority of which are in the upstairs, dedicated snooker room where most of this episode is filmed.

On the weekend, the juniors take over and it was great to see such a thriving snooker scene on a Saturday morning. You can see for yourself the skills these kids have. John Woods, World Snooker accredited coach, was on hand to give us an overview – link to his site is below.

There’s a double bill of the Black Ball Finish, neither of which lasted long due to the potting prowess of these snooker superstars of the future.

Is this the best place to play snooker in London? Let me know in the comments. And great to hear any memories of the club too.
