What is Yamaha MODX / MODX+ ?
MODX synthesizer It is a lighter version of a flagship Yamaha Montage.
This instrument with 88 keys hammer action and great sounding piano, is perfect for worship music and can be used as a dedicated stage piano.
The biggest competitor for this product would be the Fantom-08 from Roland and Korg Nautilus-88
This instrument also offers the ability of reading custom samples. It is possible to load your modified samples into this instrument, as long as they are in the format of Yamaha MODX / MODX+
I was able to use my Yamaha Motif XS7 sampler to convert my samples to the MODX format. Once I had the samples loaded into Yamaha MODX, I was able to re-create some of the desired sounds.
I believe that the Yamaha website provides some custom samples for purchase, but you can also buy these from third-party websites.
