Cult classic Canadian survival horror (Cube Trilogy commentary & review)

Cube (1997) was a low budget indie sci-fi survival horror film. Plus it's Canadian! Which made me all the more keen to check it out. The full trilogy changed hands multiple times, and isn't especially consistent. But the basic premise always remained the same:
Strangers are dropped into a Cube filled with deadly traps, and they need to work together to attempt to escape.
