Heartland Innovation Challenge 2024 - Overview

Inaugurated in 2021, the Heartland Innovation Challenge is a platform designed to ignite the spirit of innovation in the heartlands. It offers heartland business owners the chance to collaborate with tertiary students from institutes of higher learning to co-create innovative solutions that drive transformation.

Using the design thinking methodology, each team of enterprise and students embarks on a structured, user-centric innovation journey to tackle real business challenges.

At the end of the Challenge, each participating business owner receives a prototype of their proposed solution, which they can further refine and commercialize to achieve business growth. Meanwhile, participating students gain invaluable real-world experience, working with actual enterprises and getting a glimpse into the world of heartland businesses.
