Is London's $17 Steak WORTH IT? Flat Iron Review!

While London is one of the most expensive cities in the world, arguably more so than even New York City, it surprised me to learn that they actually have a very affordable steak scene! Indeed, fancy steakhouses such as Hawksmoor will still be similarly priced as Manhattan, but there are many cheap and affordable steakhouses in the UK. The most famous of these is Flat Iron, which has several locations in London alone. Blacklock in London is also well-regarded, where you can get a ribeye steak for just £22!

Keep in mind too that in the UK the prices usually will include VAT (sales tax) and there is no requirement to tip. If you subtract an estimated tip and tax that would be added on in America from the price, it's less than $12! Of course, such a cheap steak you need to properly set expectations. I'm not exactly expecting Keens Steakhouse here, or even Hawksmoor, but I am curious to see if the £14 steak is worth trying at all! Is it one of the best steak in London at least when it comes to bang for your buck?
