After working in different media, starting with painting and then branching out into large site-specific wooden installation pieces, Rosalind, once she moved from New York to Connecticut, began experimenting with clay. Starting with totems, she discovered the raku technique that gives a crackling effect, with colors emerging from the clay. Later, responding to the frustrating social and political situation, her work became more intimate and more personal - her subjects showing their fragility as they were undergoing challenges. Her piece "Shattered Dreams" is very representative of that fragility. These pieces are personal but also address the larger narrative of a social and political sphere in which many are experiencing "shattered dreams".
