Peter Hassrick: Forged & Founded Western Sculpture Symposium

Описание к видео Peter Hassrick: Forged & Founded Western Sculpture Symposium

Alexander Phimister Proctor was a prolific artist best known for his interpretations of western and wildlife subjects as well as his public monuments. He felt strongly that an artist should live the life he intended to depict. His foundational work began not in sculpture, but rather in wood engraving and drawing. It was through his connections that gained him commissions. However, it was not until 1891 that Proctor began creating monumental sculptures for the Columbian Exposition.
