Who is my Creator | Self Portrait Project
Who is my Creator? Who crafts the essence of my being, predestined before my dawn? Whose love pursues me when all others withdraw? Who has my hair numbered, paces my every step, and notes my heartbeat's dance?
It was you.
In you, I am seen, heard, and known, – my Creator, my compass of truth, and my way of life.
When I'm a fleeting vapor in the breeze, as weightless as a lone feather. In my insignificance, you make me seen. When broken and bruised, your rescue arrives, revealing a love that sees me as pure and true.
When my voice is a mere murmur, as faint as a whisper's touch. Through your grace, I echo loud. You make me heard. To you, my voice is a deafening cry, a howl, a scream, that begs for the ears’ attention.
When I'm lost amongst the vast sea of humanity when I'm but a solitary soul, as inconspicuous as a grain of sand. You unveil my identity; you make me known. In your eyes, I'm distinct—a strand of unique DNA, a puzzle rare and profound.
In this belief, I often ponder what others might perceive me as — an eccentric, perhaps foolish, or a religious fanatic. Maybe none or maybe all. Yet, I acknowledge my fragility. In silence, I defend my faith. I stand on shaky ground and am tested daily.
Will I waver, will I stumble?
Will I succumb to the external pressures and barter my faith for this world's embrace?
No one will know, only my Creator.
Who sees me, hears me and makes me known.
