What does it cost to raise a pig? Tamworth vs. Mangalitsa Taste off!

In this video we break down the cost to raise a heritage piglet to market weight on a small farm in Northern Michigan. With feed costs on the rise we are paying $360 a ton for a 16% hog ration.

We also go over the processing fees and what one of our pigs raised would cost you.

At the end of the video we do a taste off of Mangalitsa sausage vs. Tamworth sausage.

We are a small farm located in Central/Northern Michigan. We farm every inch of our 6 acres. We breed Registered Dairy Goats, Dexter Cattle, and Heritage Hogs.

Our goats include Nubian goats, Mini Nubians, Fainting Goats, and Nigerian Dwarf goats.

Our Heritage Hogs include: registered Berkshires, Tamworth, Kune Kune, and Hereford.
