Clematis is a genus of about 300 species within the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae. Clematis Plant garden hybrids have been popular among gardeners, beginning with Clematis × jackmanii, a garden standby since 1862; more hybrid cultivars are being produced constantly. They are mainly of Chinese and Japanese origin (Wikipedia).
It can take several years for a clematis vine to mature and begin flowering vigorously.
Clematis varieties that are common and easy to grow are clematis Puzavica or klematis Puzavica, clematis multi blue, clematis Montana and Clematis × jackmanii.
clematis flower ‘Arabella' is primarily known for its very long flowering season starting in June, peaking from July to September, then continuing into October.
Leather flower, a common name for clematis, refers to the flower's fleshy sepals.
clematis plant care is simple because Clematis blooms best in full sun. Some clematis types, such as 'Nelly Moser', can bloom in part shade, but the amount of flowering will be reduced. Clematis will benefit from afternoon shade in hot summer areas. Soil: Clematis care prefers moist, well-drained soil with a neutral to slightly alkaline pH.
Because clematis flower plants and loves to be in the sun then growing clematis in shade will not help the plant in bloom.

Types of clematis that are considered best are Clematis Armandii and Clematis Multi Blue.
Among the different types of clematis Old man’s beard and clematis viticella are rare.
