As the Sikkim rescue operations enter day 4 on Monday (September 22) the Army begins slithering operation to rescue foreign engineers in Sikkim. The Army began air dropping relief to people in Sikkim and other areas. Over 70 foreign tourists were rescued by the Army today. Home minister P Chidambaram is in Sikkim to take stock of the situation. Major challenge at the moment for the army is to establish connectivity with areas which are still out of bounds because of the landslides and poor roads in Sikkim.The death toll has risen to 69.
