I found that the reason for Unarc error codes or BSODs when installing DODI/Fitgirl repacks was because the way these massive 50-100GB files need to be decompressed causes the processor to overheat to 95°C, according to HWInfo monitoring, leading Windows to throttle with error codes or BSODs. By setting these two adjustments, my CPU temperatures stayed stable at 60°C, thus preventing any errors.
