Campervan Awning Rail Install (Simple & Lightweight) | Transit Van Conversion E16

It's time for our campervan awning rail to be installed. We decided to fit an awning early to give us some much needed rain (mostly!) and sun cover while working on our Transit van conversion. 🚐

Our awning is from Wild Earth and we're really happy with it, it's super lightweight (only around 2.5kg) and is very compact. We attached it to our van using three pieces of c channel awning rail that we stuck onto the side of the van using sikaflex. The Wild Earth awning slides into the c channel with a standard kador bead. We tested it out and can put it up and down in minutes, very happy with that!

It's nice to have a simple job for once! We can't wait to test our awning out when we're finally on the road 😊

And hopefully it will help us meet the DVLA requirements for an awning rail to be fitted to the side of a van for registering as a campervan later too!
