In this episode of Quantum Computing In Practice, we are going to walk through one of the most exciting applications of quantum computers: simulating nature.

This was one of the original reasons quantum computing was even proposed as an idea originally, and it’s exciting to see how far the field has come in the past few decades since.

Specifically in this episode we will walk through an 2023 IBM experiment that demonstrated quantum utility by simulating the Ising model. First we’ll start at a high level, and then we’ll discuss how to do this in Qiskit.
