I've decided to try out something new, by not only painting my first GK (garage kit) anime figure, but also customizing it by adding on my own accessories - a backpack and a cannon made from 3D printing. This was supposed to be something simple (for the standards of a GK), something easy, until I became a bit overambitious, making life difficult for myself. Nonetheless this is an exciting journey, and only part 1 of my progress on this personal side project. I am not sure how many parts of videos I will document on this project, but you can expect quite a few of them. Being a long running project, this would probably take me a couple of months at the bare minimum to complete.

The character in question is Helena Blavatsky, summer / archer version, from Fate Grand Order. Her weapon pack had to be designed on my own, and manufactured by resin printing, also known as SLA 3D printing. So, does this make it an easy project? Far from it. Resin suffers from structural or dimensonal shrinkage during curing, and this is where trouble begins. Parts do not fit properly, even if they are scaled to account for the shrinkage. However, I'm looking forward to share my journey and progress working on this project with everyone over time.
