In this # Shorts video, want to take a minute to remember the talent and skills of woodworkers around the world and across the centuries.

This Hoosierwoodcraft tribute is the result of research on the woodworking of Fahr al-Din and his son in 15th century Persia in the city of Babul. An academic researcher found a highly decorated mausoleum and door of the tomb tower of a famous Sultan that was created by this woodworking family. The family of the deceased was so impressed with the quality of the work that they asked the high priest (Imam) to inscribe the name of Master and his son on the door to the tomb in remembrance of their talents (i.e. eamil fakhr aldiyn bin eali alnajaar ). As you know, few clients, today or then, would acknowledge the skills of a tradesman. The inscription should be seen as a rare blessing from above to inspire all of us to strive towards woodworking perfection.

My overall goal has been to honor the woodworkers of ancient Persia and praise their work. I offer my apology for any unintended historical or cultural gaps in this presentation.
