UNDERSTANDING KENYA'S TRANSMISSION LINE NEEDS: HOW WE COMPARE TO GLOBAL STANDARDS

Описание к видео UNDERSTANDING KENYA'S TRANSMISSION LINE NEEDS: HOW WE COMPARE TO GLOBAL STANDARDS

Did you know? There are about 7 million kilometers of transmission lines worldwide, serving 8 billion people. Based on global averages, Kenya would need around 4,344 kilometers of transmission lines to be on par. Currently, we have just over 9,000 kilometers, while KPLC’s distribution network spans 320,000 kilometers.

To meet the global average, Kenya should aim for close to 20,000 kilometers of transmission lines. This comparison underscores the substantial progress needed to enhance our distribution network and ensure efficient energy delivery.

Watch to learn more about Kenya's energy infrastructure and the steps required to bridge the gap!
