{4K} OSIJEK TRAM - Farewell to the 60 years old Düwag GT6 trams (RIP 2023) | GPP Osijek

Welcome to a new video! This time we'll take a ride on the old Düwag GT6 trams in Osijek, for the last time. Since 2023 they're officially out of service and some are already scrapped. These trams arrived in Osijek used from Germany and served for many years in Osijek, mostly on line 1 as extra capacity for children and students that use the tram on working days. During school breaks and weekends, only Tatras would operate.
GPPO maintained the trams very well throughout the years, which combined with their quality resulted in a reliable service. They drove in heat, rain, cold, snow, traffic jams... during my 13 all-day visits in Osijek I haven't seen any GT6 that broke down. I've seen more than 5 T3PV.O´s that were defect.
Except being reliable, they offered higher comfort than any tram in Osijek ever had, and certainly will in the next 25 years. Despite using quite bad tracks, they weren't shaking too much, and they were all time quiet. They wrote history of Osijeks trams and will definitely be remembered as legends.
Goodbye GT6!

The video shows the trams at full and low speeds, on bad tracks, crossing tracks, in curves as well as the interior from different perspectives.
