According to information at 6:45 pm yesterday five masked men entered the Utkal Gramin Bank in Barpali brandishing pistols and knives and robbed the bank manager Rakesh Kumar Naik and other employees of their mobile phones and money When they tried to rob the bank the bank manager cleverly rang the bank's siren due to which a police vehicle immediately reached the bank on hearing the siren and succeeded in arresting the robber After investigation the police arrested the other accomplices within 3 hours and seized 2 pistols magazines knives iron rods chili powder and two bikes from them However the head of the gang of robbers had informed the police that he had planned to rob a bank after losing Rs 12 lakh in an online game The police have informed that there are already cases pending in various police stations against the five arrested robbers Out of the five arrested accused four accused are from the Bargarh Sadar police station area while the other accused is from the Barpali police station area the police have informed
