Here I play my song about Medusa trying to publish her songs in Nashville while the world collapses…

…and tell the backstory to writing the song.

Lyrics:
I came to train at altitude, amongst the egos and the attitudes, in the ancient ruins of the hallowed ground.
Nobody looked me in the eyes too long, for fear of turning into bronze, like the naked muses dancing in the turnaround.

Forgetting all my ministry, I caught the Illness of the industry, where Titans run the playing field and the algorithm flows. I never found out where to turn out the roundabout to music row.

The scandal of my piety and the collapse of society exiled me in my own lonesome gorgon cave. As stoned as those who challenged me, I spent my immortality in cargo cult confusion, legends rolling in their graves.

Although my transformation came from Angels sailing through the same electromagnetic waves as ghosts and radio, I never found out where to turn out the roundabout to music row.

“Here to make or break the music of the mountain, the circle spins us round and around Let it be known there is a fountain, hidden ‘neath the dancers underground”

A monolith lives on and on; Athena in the Parthenon will forever be the goddess of wisdom and war. I find the privilege in my pain. Of all three sisters one was slain to change poison to protection in the burning athenor.

When alchemizing gold from lead, don’t let the spin go to your head, or you just might lose it in Poseidon’s undertow, when you’ve found out where to turn out the roundabout to music row.
