well after a good clean up and inspection i cant see any obvious cracks ( and ive seen a cracked 5l before) the only issues were the gasket was failing between cylinders 3 n 4. theres 2 tiny water holes there and that seems to be where the water was getting in.
i spotted some shonky valve work as they ground off the valve stems instead of reshimming the valves and the wonky grinding is making the shim buckets wobble.
ive no time to mess with that, im supposed to be riding in 2 days so on went the head and its road test time tomorrow.
