In this video I continue with the saga of my phantom water spots reappearing on the hood of my BMW . I go over how it happened and the steps that I am using to go through this project . Heat cycling is a very important aspect when you have phantom water spots and probably one of the key points of this entire series . Again I'm going to add that I was not willing to buy a $200 IR lamp for true heat cycling and my idea of using a heat gun in a sweeping motion and keeping very careful eye on the surface temperature as to no more that 140* was deemed too dangerous and stressful on the clearcoat. Therefore since we had some days in the mid 80*s and the garage got up to 95* I decided that I was just going to move forward after the compounding off of the old coating and hope for the best that the phantom would not reappear.
