Hey y'all welcome back! Today's video will feature a timelapse build of a city I started very early on in my journey in this world, before I even started creating these videos. I had since left it abandoned, but the time has finally come to redesign the city-state of Bridgeport, which from the beginning has been heavily inspired by King's Landing and the Red Keep from Game of Thrones! There's also some heavy influences from Byzantine and Romanesque structures, as well as general inspirations from various settlements along the Adriatic Sea, such as Dubrovnik. Background:
A powerful city-state ally of the Republic of Florice, Bridgeport is a naval and mercantile powerhouse. Protected by an immense cliff-face surrounding a natural harbor, the city-state boasts quite the defensible position and is further enhanced by the Red Citadel towering on its highest point. For centuries, this vibrant city has thrived thanks to the ancient bridge that connects the two halves of the city on separate height levels. The Seed Trade Company is headquartered here and facilitates trade between the secluded western states of Aelithia, Arboraelya, and Maressea and the kingdoms of the midlands. Major cities such as Aris, Asylia, Portouest, and Elverona are a short sail away, positioning Bridgeport at the confluence of multiple international trade routes, owing to its vast wealth.

Dominating the city's skyline is the majestic Red Citadel, a towering fortress renowned as the tallest and most formidable castle in all of the Midlands. Architects from the Raisyut Empire and Bridgeport worked together to transform the remnants of an ancient fortress into the impressive structure that can be seen today. Its imposing walls stretch towards the clouds, blocking the sun from properly lighting sections of the city during each half of the day. From the top of its grand watchtowers, one can marvel at the breathtaking views of the city and surrounding sea.

Situated atop a hill at the heart of Bridgeport, the White Cathedral with its seven bell towers stands as a beacon of faith and spirituality. The melodious chimes of its bells echo through the city, calling residents to worship at sunrise and sundown, fostering a sense of unity and devotion among the people. The interior of the cathedral is a sight to behold, with stunning arches and a dome adorned with intricate mosaics.

Sunrise Square is a vibrant district that buzzes with activity when it is bathed in glorious sunlight during the first half of the day. Opulent palaces house the city's wealthiest citizens, who can be seen leisurely strolling through shady courtyards, visiting serene monasteries, or meandering along narrow streets, often accompanied by their beloved pet parrots imported from Maressea.
On the other hand, Sunset Square comes alive as the sun peeks over the top of the Red Citadel. The towering cliffs and castle cast dramatic shadows, effectively creating an atmosphere of darkness until the latter half of the day. The harbor becomes a bustling hub of activity, as villagers flock to the ancient bridge, embarking on a journey to the White Cathedral for evening worship.
