Growing up as the proud daughter of a freedom fighter, I always felt a deep-rooted connection to India. But it wasn’t until I moved abroad, especially during my time in Japan, that I truly began to understand what being Indian meant to me. Living far from home gave me a new lens through which I saw my country, my values, and my identity. And over time, that connection only grew stronger.
Along this journey, I’ve realized that patriotism isn’t just about waving a flag or standing at the border; it’s also about how we contribute in our unique ways. For me, that contribution is through mental health.
I’m deeply grateful to my husband, Dr. Gunjan Trivedi, for walking this path with me. His unwavering support and shared commitment to our mission have been my strength
Because real patriotism lies in service—in doing what we can, where we are, with what we have.
